PUPDATE! Meet the Team: Gabby Diekhoff, Member Services Representative
It’s no secret that the employees at PUPS Pet Club are genuinely passionate about all animals, especially dogs. But Gabby Diekhoff takes this passion to a whole new level!
Gabby is a Member Service Representative at PUPS Pet Club, Wicker Park. Her long-term goal is to open her own animal sanctuary and rescue for all animals – particularly bunnies, sheep, chicken and dogs.
She would love to give neglected, abused or elderly animals the fulfilling, happy life that they deserve. With that in mind, it’s no wonder Gabby loves working for PUPS! She says that playing with the Wicker Park dogs every day is basically “free therapy” while also being a great stepping stone in her career.
Not only does Gabby have a heart of gold, but she also has a long list of talents, interests and hobbies. In school, Gabby studied creative writing but she still enjoys writing today. Her writing portfolio includes art criticism, creative short-fiction and hyper-realistic pieces. She is also a host for a political and pop-culture podcast. Plus, she is a skilled violinist. She describes herself as a “sensitive, artistic soul” and we wholeheartedly agree.
Although she’s only been at PUPS for a short time, she genuinely loves coming to work each day. Gabby is notoriously not a morning person, but she gets up for work with ease because she’s excited to see her “puppy babies” every day.
She also enjoys bonding with the members of our Wicker Park Club and gets giddy when she sees them coming in each morning. To say we are lucky to have Gabby on our team would be a vast understatement!
