PUPDATE! MEET THE TEAM: SEBASTIAN MORA, MASTER GROOMER IN WICKER PARK
If you have been in the same profession for over a decade, would you consider yourself a *master* within that role? We would! That’s why we refer to Sebastian Mora as a Master Groomer at PUPS Pet Club, Wicker Park!
Sebastian has been a Dog Groomer for the last 14 years and he’s about to celebrate his 1st Work-iversary at PUPS!
He decided to pursue a career in grooming because he “didn’t really want to work with people” and he has always loved dogs. He also heard that grooming was a great way to make a decent living while still maintaining a steady routine – so he figured “let’s give it a shot!”
Sebastian loves the high-quality products used in the grooming salon at PUPS Pet Club. PUPS offers pet-parents the opportunity to use all-natural and/or hypo-allergenic products, which is especially useful for dogs with sensitive or dry skin, chronic allergies or stubborn matting.
He also appreciates that PUPS Pet Club is an organized, collaborative and calm atmosphere. In past jobs, Sebastian had to essentially serve as a groomer and a receptionist in order to fill his calendar with appointments. But at PUPS, our Member Service Representatives support him by communicating with members and scheduling all of his appointments. That way, Sebastian can solely focus on his craft!
Border collies, huskies and golden retrievers are some of his favorite dog breeds, in general. But when asked about his favorite dogs to groom, he didn’t necessarily provide us with a breed. Instead, he said that he has a deep admiration for his “regular” clients. There are a handful of Pet-Parents in the area who have stayed loyal to Sebastian over the years. They continue to schedule grooms with him no matter what neighborhood he moves to or what scheduling changes have been to be made on his end. He truly appreciates their loyalty, kindness and continued support.
